Shelton Police Department Promotes 18-Year Veteran To New Position

SHELTON, CT — Detective Lieutenant Brian Yerzak, an 18-year veteran of the Shelton Police Department, has been promoted to leader of the Detective Bureau, Chief Shawn Sequeira announced on Facebook.

Over the years, Yerzak has served in various roles, according to Sequeira, including Sergeant, Court Liaison Officer, Detective Bureau Investigator, Field Training Officer, and The Office of Internal Affairs.

Yerzak holds two bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Forensic Science from the University of New Haven, as well as a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport.

"[Shelton Police Department] is pleased to announce that Lieutenant Yerzak has assumed leadership of the Detective Bureau," Sequeira wrote. "We are honored to have his expertise and dedication in this role."
