Shelton Resident Nominated To Serve As Judge On CT Superior Court
Jeanet Figueroa-Laskos is an assistant attorney general in the CT Office of the Attorney General in the Child Protection Department.
SHELTON, CT — Jeanet Figueroa-Laskos, 53, of Shelton, is one of 11 Connecticut residents recently nominated by Gov. Ned Lamont to serve as a Superior Court Judge, Lamont announced.
According to officials, Figueroa-Laskos currently serves as an assistant attorney general at the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General in the Child Protection Department.
She graduated from the University of Connecticut, and obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Prior to her current stint in the AG's office, Figueroa-Laskos was a special deputy state’s attorney, prosecuting criminal cases, and she has served as a member of the Client Security Fund Committee since 2018.
There are currently 60 vacancies on the Connecticut Superior Court, according to officials, and since February, Lamont has nominated 33 people to judgeships.

All of those nominations are currently pending confirmation by the state legislature.
