Shelton's Robert Devlin Jr. Reappointed to Superior Court
Protests over one of the four-term judge's decisions did not sway legislators.

SHELTON, CT — Superior Court Judge Robert Devlin was overwhelmingly reappointed to the bench Wednesday by state legislators who were not swayed against him following protests over one of his decisions.
The Connecticut Post reports that Devlin was tapped for a fourth eight-year term unanimously by the state Senate, and near unanimously by the state House. He received only one dissenting vote.
Devlin was criticized for what some believed was a short 30-month sentence he handed down to former Trumbull Police Off. William Ruscoe, who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage girl who had been part of the department's Explorer Program.
