Snow Emergency Declared In Derby: City
A snow emergency has been declared in Derby, which includes some parking restrictions, according to the city.
DERBY, CT — Mayor Joseph DiMartino has declared a snow emergency in Derby ahead of expected snow in the forecast.
According to a news release provided by the city, the snow emergency will begin Friday at 11 p.m., during which parking will be restricted to the even numbered side of all city streets until 36 hours after the storm ends.
The Derby Municipal Parking Garage, located at 2 Thompson Place, will be open for residents of the downtown area to park their cars during the storm at no charge until Sunday at 11 a.m., according to the city.
