Strong-Arm Robbery Leads To 6 Arrests: Shelton Police

"Crimes of this nature will not be tolerated...," police said.

SHELTON, CT — The Shelton CT Police Department said they arrested robbery suspects after an investigation.

At 9:21 p.m. on Feb. 21, police responded to the 24/7 Express Mart after receiving a 911 call reporting an assault.

Officers determined the incident was a strong-arm robbery, police said.

The investigation revealed that the victim was involved in an altercation with multiple individuals, police added.

"During the incident, the victim was struck several times in the face, causing injuries and knocking the victim to the ground," police said in a news release. "While the victim was down, a cell phone was forcibly taken from their pocket."

Officer Roberts, along with Detective McMahon, conducted an investigation.

Investigators used surveillance footage, conducted interviews, and gathered physical and digital evidence to identify those involved, police said.

The following individuals were identified as suspects in the incident, according to police: Steve Nakhoune, 34; Baron Vongxay, 35; Kamora King, 43; Collin Addiss, 30; Mark Gaddy, 44; and Errin Gaulin, 37.

Arrest warrants were secured, police added.

Steve Nakhoune, Baron Vongxay, Kamora King, Collin Addiss, and Mark Gaddy were each charged with second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, third-degree assault, and breach of peace.

Errin Gaulin was charged with larceny and breach of peace. All suspects were taken into custody throughout the month of March, police said.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation, police said.

"The Shelton Police Department is committed to protecting our community and will continue to aggressively investigate violent criminal activity," police said in a prepared statement. "Crimes of this nature will not be tolerated, and those who commit them in our city will be identified, pursued, and held accountable."
