Woman Charged In Shelton Bank Robbery: Police
A Milford woman accused of robbing a Shelton bank was recently served an arrest warrant by police.

SHELTON, CT — A Milford woman accused of robbing a Shelton bank last month was charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree larceny Friday, according to police.
In a news release, Police Detective Christopher Nugent said a TD Bank in Shelton was robbed on May 4. Bernadette Diana Volika, 46, of Milford, was quickly identified as a suspect as Stratford police investigated a similar robbery that occurred in their town in February.
Shelton and Stratford police officers arrested Volikas at her Milford home on a warrant held by Stratford police. She has been incarcerated since her arrest on May 4, according to Nugent.

On Friday, Volikas was served an arrest warrant by Shelton police. Her bond was set at $20,000 and she remained in the custody of the state Department of Corrections, Nugent said.
She is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Nugent.
