SIMSBURY YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEER UNITES UNDER THE TROJAN PROGRAM

The Simsbury Youth Football and Cheer Board of Directors is excited to announce that significant steps have recently been taken to strengthen our program.  This year we will be welcoming all Simsbury youth football players and cheerleaders into our program for the 2013 season.  Thanks to the hard work of Simsbury Youth Trojan, Simsbury/Granby Raider, Simsbury High School, and Town of Simsbury representatives, all Simsbury resident youth will be united under our youth football and cheer program.

The Simsbury Trojan Youth Football and Cheer Family not only welcomes all former Raider youth football players and cheerleaders, but looks forward to welcoming their outstanding coaches and all participants’ families as well.  We already know most of these wonderful, active, and involved families from our shared involvement in other Simsbury youth sports, school, and social programs.

Our expanded program will be better able to ensure that youth football and cheerleading is a safe and fun activity for all our players.  As an added benefit, the Simsbury High School Football team’s coaching staff and athletic department have committed to developing stronger ties to our program and to providing additional support to our program.  The Town of Simsbury is also committed to ensuring that all needed practice facilities and fields are available and top notch.

We feel that this unification of players, coaches, and town support will allow our youth football and cheer programs to continue to grow into exemplary, first class programs, second to none in the state.
