Clarkson University, Potsdam NY

• Three students from Simsbury have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester at Clarkson University: Mackenzie Elizabeth Centrella, a freshman majoring in business studies; Juliet Elisabeth Clarkson, a junior majoring in biology; and Karl Spooner, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering. Dean's List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA

• Matthew Krajewski of Simsbury earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for fall 2016 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 4.0 academic average for the semester.

Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY

• Six students from Simsbury were named to the Marist College Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester:
  Jacob Hallenbeck, a member of the Class of 2020 majoring in Liberal Arts; Carly Heintz, a member of the Class of 2020 majoring in Biomedical Sciences; Emma Lorenzen, a member of the Class of 2019 majoring in Liberal Arts; Margaret Lyman, a member of the Class of 2018 majoring in Social Work; Samantha Monroe, a member of the Class of 2017 majoring in Psychology/Special Education; and Abigail Ritson, a member of the Class of 2018 majoring in Psychology/Special Education.

SUNY Geneseo, Geneseo NY

• Mary Pyatt from Tariffville has been named to SUNY Geneseo's Dean's List for the fall semester 2016. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa AL

• Justin W. Whitehouse and Peter Raymond Williams of Simsbury were named to the Dean's List at teh University of Alabama for the fall 2016 semester.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Madeline Mancarella of Simsbury has been named to the President's List at Western New England University for the fall 2016 semester. Mancarella is working toward a degree in Communication - Media Theory & Production. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.
