Albertus Magnus College, New Haven CT

• Daniella Colangelo of West Simsbury was named to the dean's list for the spring 2017 semester with a perfect GPA of 4.0.

Nichols College, Dudley MA

• Nichols College graduated over 300 students on May 6, 2017, at the DCU Center in Worcester. Former California Closets President Marty Allen, a 1975 Nichols graduate, delivered the Commencement address.
  David Melanson of Simsbury graduated with a BSBA.
• Nichols College has recognized 470 students who achieved Dean's List status for their academic work during the spring 2017 semester. Simsbury honorees are David Melanson and Gabriel Towles.

Wesleyan University, Middletown CT

• Grace McCann of Simsbury was one of six members of the Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team honored on the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll for her performance in the classroom. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or great. McCann formerly attended Simsbury High School.
