Clemson University, Clemson SC

  • Two local students were named to the President's List at Clemson University for the spring 2017 semester: Timothy J. Mango of Simsbury, whose major is Economics, and Julie M. Longfritz of Weatogue, whose major is Pre-Business. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.
  • Five students from Simsbury were named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the spring 2017 semester: Annie Mckay Deliso, Patrick Martin, Jordan E. Friedland, Brian Maher and Sean D. Oleasz. To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Five local students have been named to the Marist College Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester: Francis Gregoire of Weatogue, a member of the Class of 2019 majoring in Liberal Arts; Carly Heintz of Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2020 majoring in Biomedical Sciences; Margaret Lyman of West Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2018 majoring in Social Work; Abigail Ritson of Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2018 majoring in Psychology/Special Education; and David Zambuto of Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2018 majoring in Communication.

  • A pair of local students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the spring 2017 semester: Maggie Grigely of Simsbury, with High Honors, and Alyssa Richman of West Simsbury, with Highest Honors. Students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
