SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent accomplishments of college students from Simsbury, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

• Assumption College has announced that Claire Keating, a member of the Class of 2017 from Simsbury, is one of 486 students named to the college's prestigious undergraduate Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The Dean's List is announced twice per academic year, once at the completion of the fall semester, and again at the completion of the spring semester.

Elmira College, Elmira NY

• Stephen Morganti of Simsbury has been named to the Elmira College Dean's List for the fall 2016 term. Full-time students who achieve a grade point average of 3.600 or higher at the end of any Term I or Term II are placed on the Dean's List at the college.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• In honor of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named more than 700 students to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. Simsbury students on the Dean's List are Anders Flater and Jonathon Kieselback.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA

• Weatogue resident Meghan Elizabeth Driscoll has been named to the president's list at James Madison University for the fall 2016 semester. Students who earn president's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above. Driscoll is scheduled to graduate in 2018 and is majoring in interdisciplinary liberal studies.
• James Madison University is pleased to announce that the following Simsbury students made the dean's list for the fall 2016 semester: Deanna Frink, Reid Shafer, Abigail Erasmus and Sarah Knecht.

University at Albany, Albany NY

• The University at Albany congratulates more that 3,500 students who were named to the fall 2016 Dean's List. Lorna Lechak from Simsbury is included on the Dean's List for this semester. Students named to the Dean's List earned at least a 3.5 GPA.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that 5,401 students have qualified for the fall 2016 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, other states and more than 16 countries. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average. Simsbury students honored are Emily Caliman, Julia Dowd, Meghan Catherine Gilmore, Ellena Gressier, Brenna Kelly and Brenna Sullivan.

Wheaton College, Wheaton IL

• Courtney Bunn of Simsbury and Joseph Mormino of Weatogue were among the Wheaton College students who were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. Dean's List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.
