Assumption College, Worcester MA

  • Assumption College has announced that 535 students have been named to the College's prestigious undergraduate Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester, including Claire Keating, Class of 2017, from Simsbury. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The Dean's List is announced twice per academic year, once at the completion of the fall semester, and again at the completion of the spring semester.

Carleton College, Northfield MN

  • Andrew Keene of Simsbury graduated with a BA in Geology from Carleton College at its 143rd Commencement exercises, held on Saturday, June 10. Keene is the child of Parker and Karen Keene of Simsbury.

Siena College, Loudonville NY

  • Daniel Bodell from Simsbury graduated from Siena College on Sunday, May 14 at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. The College awarded 799 degrees to the Class of 2017.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that more than 5,290 undergraduates have qualified for the spring 2017 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, many other states and countries.
    Simsbury students named to the Dean's List were Audrey E Smarrelli, Emily Camille Sacala, Julia Dowd, Ellena Gressier, Maya Alibrio, Jessica Christine Ouellette and Brenna Sullivan. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

  • Sydney Davis graduated cum laude from Western New England University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting. The undergraduate ceremony was held on Saturday, May 20, in the Alumni Healthful Living Center. Approximately 600 students received degrees and several ROTC Cadets were commissioned as officers.

Wheaton College, Wheaton IL

  • Wheaton College congratulates the more than 400 students who graduated in May 2017, including Courtney Elizabeth Bunn of Simsbury, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, and Joseph Paul Mormino of Weatogue, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Media Studies concentration.
