SAT Essay Writing Skills Session @ Simsbury Public Library
SAT ESSAY WRITING AND CRITICAL READING WORKSHOPS Tuesday, January 13, 2015 & Wednesday, January 14, 2015 7:00—8:30 p.m.
Local tutor, Martha Gilbert will offer a hands-on essay workshop for students who will be taking the SAT.
Students will learn strategies to write an effective essay, from the zinger of an introductory sentence, the art of brainstorming and mechanics to writing a powerful and impressive conclusion.
Students will have an opportunity to experience a timed practice on writing an effective essay and will get feedback on their essays.

The basics to approaching the SAT Reading Comprehension sections will conclude the evening. Martha has been an SAT/ACT tutor for 9 years.
Her education has been at Wheaton, Trinity and Harvard. (Note: Sessions are offered regularly. Check Library calendar for more dates.
