Simsbury Elementary Schools Rank Among State's Best

Niche.com ranked the top 100 elementary schools in Connecticut.

All five elementary schools in Simsbury were ranked among the top 100 public elementary schools in Connecticut, based on new rankings of the best schools in the state from Niche.com.

The top school in Connecticut is South School in New Canaan.

Here’s how the Simsbury schools placed:

  • Tootin’ Hills Elementary – 21
  • Squadron Line Elementary– 27
  • Latimer Lane Elementary – 28
  • Tariffville Elementary School – 31
  • Central Elementary – 42

According to Niche, a high ranking indicates that “students are happy with their experiences in all aspects, especially academics, teachers, and diversity,” “the school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes,” and “the school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture.”
