Abandoned Mother Dog In CT Reunited With 3 Of Her Puppies
Authorities are still desperately searching for Mya's four other babies.

WOLCOTT, CT — Nearly a week after a mother dog was found abandoned in Wolcott without her babies, the "young momma" has been reunited with three of her seven eight-day-old puppies, according to the Wolcott Dog Pound.
Thanks to an outpouring of tips following the pound's initial post about the abandonment, the mother pit bull mix, Mya, is on her way to justice — though authorities are still desperately searching for Mya's four other babies, the pound wrote in an update Facebook post.
The pound is offering a reward, "no questions asked," for information that leads to the whereabouts of the remaining puppies, urging anyone with leads to call the Wolcott Police Department at 203-879-1414.

This is still an "active and ongoing" investigation and "time is of the essence," the pound wrote.
A passerby found Mya running up Spindle Hill by the intersection of Mad River Road Tuesday night, the Wolcott Dog Pound wrote in an earlier post.

They "stopped and held her so she would not have gotten hit," according to the pound.
"I would really like to say I understand...but I don't ... I like to say she isn't dumped...but I know better," the pound wrote in the post. "I'd like to say it is a mistake...but it isn't. I'd like to ask where her babies are...but I already know the answer. I'd like to ask why...but I've already heard all the excuses in the book."
Mya, who has no collar, tags, or microchip, is "very young and sweet" and still producing milk, according to the pound.
