A Southbury man struck a utility pole off Flag Swamp Road with his SUV on Sunday, the Republican-American reports.
Scott A. Manning, 58, escaped uninjured however the pole suffered heavy damage.
According to the paper, Manning was given a written warning for traveling too fast for the conditions.
