• Southbury Man Gets Probation In Brookfield Happy Landings Shooting (patch.com) — A Southbury resident has been sentenced to three years of probation, with a suspended jail term, for his role in a 2025 shooting at Happy Landings Farm in nearby Brookfield. Court records show Gerald Lee Rutledge pleaded guilty to reduced misdemeanor charges after two people suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds in the incident.
