Southbury Bringing its Government Meetings to the People at Home: Report

No longer will you have to attend Board of Selectmen meetings in person if you wish to keep informed of local government matters.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Can't make the Board of Selectmen meeting in-person but you still want to stay informed well there is good news for you.

Residents can live stream Board of Selectmen meetings at home via this link southbury-ct.org/videostreaming.

The next meeting is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, reports the Republican-American.

“I think this is something that the town has been working toward and I think we’re going to put it in place and see how it works,” First Selectman Jeffrey A. Manville told the Rep-Am's Bill Bittar.

Costs for the live stream is just under $4,000 annually, the Rep-Am reports.
