Southbury Hires New Public Works Director
He comes from another Connecticut community.

SOUTHBURY, CT — John F. Cottell Jr., the former manager of utilities and energy conservation for Bridgeport, was hired this week as the new Southbury Public Works director.
The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved Cottell's hiring over six other candidates due to his experience, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
Cottell is scheduled to start on Aug. 15 at a salary of $100,000. He was recently among more several laid off employees in Bridgeport.
