Southbury Woman Dies in 5-Vehicle Accident: Report

Southbury, CT - Pierrette Nicole Kaelin, 85, of 206 Dogwood in Southbury died as a result of injuries she suffered in a five-vehicle crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of New Wheeler Road and Heritage Road, the Republican-American reports.

No one else involved in the accident was injured.

According to the Rep-Am, the accident began when Joan L. Chernauskas, 80, of Heritage Circle, failed to stop after traffic had slowed and she hit one vehicle and then her car struck Kaelin's vehicle, which then went up an embankment and rolled backward before landing on the right side of a Cadillac.
