Southbury's Latest Weather Forecast: Snow is on The Way

While the upcoming conditions are chilly, the sun will make an appearance at the end of the week.

Following the icy conditions this past weekend, the weather forecast for the week to come looks more promising.

With the number of accidents reported along with the icy weather, commuters will want to take caution Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service has predicted a 50 percent chance of snow for the state beginning late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

According to the NWS, Southbury’s detailed forecast for the rest of the week is as follows:

  • Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 15. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Wednesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 32. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph.
  • Wednesday Night: A chance of light snow. Cloudy, with a low around 21. Light northeast wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Thursday: A slight chance of light snow before 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 17. Northwest wind around 6 mph.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32.
  • Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20.
  • Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 33.
  • Saturday Night: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32.
  • Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15.
