Weekend Closure of Route 172 in Southbury for Replacement of Bridge Announced

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the weekend closure of Route 172 in Southbury for the replacement of Bridge 06815 which carries Route 172 over an unnamed Brook.

The closure will occur on August 5, from 8 PM, to August 8, at 5 AM. This project is located on Route 172 just south of Hollow Swamp Road.

The DOT project was awarded to Dayton Construction Company, Inc. at a cost of $727,940.15 on March 3, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed September 2016.
