Additional Child Charge for Southington Man Already on Registry

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man on the state sex offender registry and already serving time for a child-related offense is facing a kiddie porn charge from another ongoing investigation, police said.

On Halloween, Keith Dubin, 31 of Southington, was served with an arrest warrant at Bristol Superior

Court, police said. Dubin was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, police said.

Dubin was already in prison since Oct. 18 on a year-and-a-half sentence for criminal attempt to commit risk of injury, court records show.

He was subsequently sentenced to a year on Halloween for third-degree child porn possession, court records show.

Dubin was arrested in August for trying to set up a meeting with a young boy, police said.

During an execution of a search warrant at Dubin’s residence on Aug. 21, his cell phone was confiscated, police said. During a file system extraction, two images depicting child pornography were noticed. An additional warrant to search Dubin's phone for child pornography and to seize the images was completed and executed, police said.

Dubin was listed on the state sex offender registry after a 2006 conviction for second-degree possession of child porn, records show. His address on the registry is 146 Delahunty Drive, Southington.
