• Woman charged with manslaughter in death of teen in Southington (bristolpress.com) — Southington residents should know that police have charged a 21-year-old woman with second-degree manslaughter in connection with an 18-year-old man's death from acute intoxication last April in town. After an extensive investigation, detectives obtained a warrant, arrested the suspect in New Britain, and are now asking anyone with additional information to contact Det. Thomson at the Southington Police Department.
   

• Southington improves to 5-0 with workmanlike 29-6 win over Manchester (bristolpress.com) — Southington football fans can celebrate as the Blue Knights moved to 5-0 with a 29-6 home win over Manchester, powered by a stingy defense and big plays from their passing game.
