Annual Blessing of Animals at St. Dominic

Pet and animal lovers - mark this date well on your calendar - Saturday, October 8th at 9:30 am - for this is the date and time for your traditional annual trip to St. Dominic Church in Southington with your furry, feathery and finned friends for a special blessing honoring the memory of St. Francis of Assisi whose love for all creatures big and small is one of the most renowned traditions expressing our love for and special relationships with animals.

We'll have a photographer there, too, so you can have a photo of you and your pet, or your pet alone.

If you can, please bring a small gift, like a can of pet food or package of dried food, to be donated to a local animal shelter.

The blessing service will be held at the Big Rock behind the church rectory (the house in the back of the parking lot) at the corner of Laning Street and Flanders Road in Southington.

We'll be waiting for you.
