Driver Facing Manslaughter Charge in Southington Crash Case
The arraignment has been grouped with the most serious of cases.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man charged with manslaughter in a fatal crash in March had his case transferred to the docket reserved for the most serious of cases on Monday, a clerk at Bristol Superior Court said.
The formal arraignment of Jason Dominguez, 37, of 511 Emmett St., Bristol, was moved to the Part A docket and scheduled for Aug. 1, a clerk at the courthouse said.
He has been charged with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, failure to obey a traffic signal and driving under the influence, according to law enforcement and judicial system records.

At 2:14 a.m. on March 19, police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on West Street at the intersection of West Queen Street, according to a report. Preliminary investigations revealed the operator of a Nissan Altima, Carlos Barrios, was traveling southbound on West Street in the area of West Queen Street, police said.
Dominguez was driving a Lexus ES300 westbound on West Queen Street into the intersection of West Street and was struck on the passenger side of the vehicle by the Nissan as it traveled into the intersection, police said.

The front seat passenger of the Lexus, Jimmy Cintron-Guzman, sustained serious injuries and was later
pronounced deceased at St. Mary’s Hospital, police said.
