PARC in Plainville has served people with developmental disabilities for more than 63 years. Visit www.parcdisabilitiesct.org; 860.747.0316.

Members of the Knights of Columbus Gerald T. Corrigan Council 3544 in Plainville stopped by the PARC Board of Directors Feb. 12 meeting to present a donation from the annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Doug Wright, past Grand Knight, and Bill Brayne, Grand Knight, made the presentation to Jamie Carpio, new president of the PARC board. In addition, they presented a second check that represented a memorial donation that was divided between PARC and the Plainville Community Food Pantry. The Knights said keeping funds in the community is their priority so that non-profits can continue providing services. Carpio said PARC was grateful for the Knights’ generosity and valued the long relationship the two organizations share. For more than 63 years, PARC has provided family centered services for people with developmental disabilities.
