Major Roadway/Sidewalk Project Starts This Week In Southington

Work is expected to be going on throughout Plantsville through September of this year.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A massive streetscape project to renovate and beautify the Plantsville section of town officially started on Monday.

As a result, motorists and pedestrians alike will have to exercise a little patience through September as workers tackle the job.

The project entails a massive redesign of the roadways (area of Route 10 and West Main Street intersection) and will feature concrete pavement, drainage work, concrete sidewalks, decorative crosswalks, benches, light poles, trash receptacles, and traffic light modifications.
