Man Arrested in Southington for Violating Protective Order 3 Times in Less Than a Week

The man was arrested for similar crimes in November, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man with a history of domestic violence has been charged for three incidents since Saturday at a Southington home.

Christopher Sodowski, 30, of Berlin, managed to post bonds totaling $325,000 after appearing in court Thursday and and is due back in court on March 21, according to court records.

His latest run-in with state domestic violence laws began Saturday when Southington officers responded to a Southington home for an assault, according to a police report. A woman told police that Sodowski came to her home and they began to argue. She told police that during the argument, she was physically assaulted by Sodowski, who took her computer with him as he left the house, according to police report.

On Monday, the woman told officers that she received several text messages and phone calls from Sodowski, who threatened to kill a family member if she did not recant her statement about the original assault, according to a police report.

Officers again attempted to locate Sodowski, but were unsuccessful and a warrant with a $1oo,000 bond was secured for violating the protective order, intimidation of a witness and harassment in the second degree, according to a police report.

On Thursday at 5:30 a.m. hours, officers went to the woman's home about more phone calls from Sadowski and messages sent through a third party, police said. Officers were able to contact with Sodowski and he was arrested, according to a police report.

He was charged with violating the protective order a third time on a warrant carrying a $50,000 bond, police said.

The bonds were adjusted in court.

Sadowski is facing a similar case dating back to November when he sent messages to someone an hour after being arrested in a domestic case, according to police records. See the full account here.
