27-Year-Old Fighting For Life After Southington Accident
One vehicle rear-ended another, sending it into the path of an oncoming tow truck, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A 27-year-old Bristol man is fighting for his life after a serious, three-vehicle accident on Queen Street in Southington Thursday, local police said Friday morning.
According to the Southington Police Department, officers were called to the area of 1125 Queen St. at about 4:21 p.m. Thursday following reports of a significant motor vehicle collision.
According to the SPD, a blue 2017 Hyundai Elantra was traveling south on Queen Street in the southbound lane when it rear-ended a 2008 gray Honda Civic in the rear bumper.

Police said this collision pushed the Civic into the northbound lane of Queen Street, where a commercial Dodge Ram tow truck traveling north slammed into the Civic's passenger side in the northbound lane, causing "heavy" damage to the Civic.
In addition to Southington police, American Medical Response and the Southington Fire Department also responded to the scene.

Police said the driver of the Civic, who they identified as Hector Carrasco Gomez of Bristol, 27, was critically injured and is in the hospital Friday morning.
The Elantra was operated by Simonne Cote of Southington, while the tow truck was operated by Ethan Bohn of Plantsville, Southington police said Friday morning.
Police did not have any information on the condition of the other two drivers.
