Man Taken From Blood-Soaked Hotel Room in Southington Assault Case, Police Say
He is facing several serious charges after a woman allegedly beaten, police say.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man is in custody following a Wednesday domestic incident that left a hotel room bloody and a woman punched upside the head, a police report indicates.
At 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Southington officers were dispatched to Room 227 at the Days Inn, 30 Laning St. for guests not paying the bill and refusing to leave, according to a police report.
Once at the room, officers observed a large amount of blood on the bedding and on the walls of the room. They spoke with Lucas Calvo, 25, of Southington, and a woman inside the room, according to a police report.

Police said further investigation showed that the woman and Calvo were involved in an argument inside the
room and during the argument.

Calvo allegedly punched the woman several times on the head and, as a result, the woman suffered serious head and facial injuries, according toa polic report.
The woman was transported to Hartford Hospital, police said.
The blood splatter and the condition of the room required management to contact an outside contractor to clean the room, police said.
Calvo was taken into custody and and charged with cruelty to persons, second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, third-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal trespass, according to a police report.
The is being classified as domestic violence and police released no further details on the victim.
