SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington restaurant owner is facing charges after an incident outside the eatery over the winter, police said.

Cheryl Moran, 50, of Southington surrendered at the Southington Police Department on July 13, police said. An arrest warrant charged her with two counts of second-degree breach of peace making a false statement, third-degree assault and unlawful restraint.

Police said the charges stemmed from an incident that occurred in downtown Southington on Feb. 16. Moran became involved in a verbal dispute with a couple outside the restaurant she owns — Jacks Wood Fired Grill on Center Street, according to a warrant.
