School Employee Accused of Assaulting Boss Speaks Out
The staffer at a Southington school from Wallingford says she was bullied.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - A part-time technology assistant charged with assaulting her supervisor at South End School Thursday says she had been bullied in instances leading up to the incident, the Record-Journal reported.
Melinda Fisher, 29, of Wallingford, was arrested Thursday. She was hired by the school district just more than a month ago and is now suspended.
The confrontation began over tardiness, police told Southington Patch.

The supervisor, who wasn’t named by the district or police, was sent to the hospital with head, face and neck pain, the R-J reported.
Fisher said she had been suffering from tooth pain, so much so that she took a painkiller Thursday morning. Terrace had been dismissive of her ailment, according to Fisher, and in the previous six weeks been confrontational and antagonistic, the R-J Reported.

Police in an arrest report said they were dispatched to South End Elementary School, 10 Maxwell Noble Drive, for a physical altercation among staff members just after 8:30 a.m.
After a brief investigation, Fisher was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace, police said.
Fisher was processed and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and was given a court date of May 2 in Bristol Superior Court, police said.
