Southington Cops Investigatng Serious Motorcycle Crash

Southington police are investigating a serious traffic crash that took place Friday.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington police are investigating a serious traffic crash that took place Friday on a busy road in town.

At 11:04 p.m. on Friday, Southington Police responded to a motor vehicle collision
with serious injuries in the area of 201 West Queen St.

Investigators determined that Gregory Peterson of Southington was operating a motorcycle westbound on West Queen Street, accordng to a report. A westbound a vehicle, operated by Bruce Sluis, of Bristol, exited Smith Medical at 201 West Queen St. and went into the path of Peterson’s motorcycle, according to a report.

The motorcycle struck the car and Peterson was ejected from the motorcycle, police said.

Peterson suffered serious injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital, police said. Sluis was transported to Bristol Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
