Update: Second I-84 Crash Cleared In Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Emergency crews this morning again rushed to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 84 eastbound Thursday morning, this time for a two-vehicle wreck that is now cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation via Twitter, the accident was cleared at 7:48 a.m. Thursday.

The DOT said the accident happened at about 7:27 a.m. between exits 31 and 32.

DOT officials said the crash was just before Exit 32 near the highway's intersection with Route 10.

The accident had resulted in the left lane being closed, according to the DOT.

This crash was nearly 45 minutes after crews in Southington cleared another accident on I-84, this one involving an overturned vehicle in which the female driver reportedly suffered minor injuries.
