Southington Police Arrest Man for Stalking, Threatening

A man was arrested for two incidents in which he violated a protective order, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man was arrested for two incidents in which he violated a protective order, police said.

At 6:10 p.m. on Sunday, Joshoel Z. Mullen, 33 of Watertown, came to Southington police headquarters to surrender on an active arrest warrant, police said.

Mulen was being investigated for incidents on Sunday and Nov. 1, police said.

For the Sunday incident, Mullen was charged with violating a protective order, and second-degree threatening, police said. Mullen was released on a $10,000 surety bond, police said.

During a phone conversation with the Victim’s mother, Mullen allegedly threatened to kill the victim in the case, police said.

For the Nov. 1 incident, Mullen was charged with violating a protective order, second-degree stalking and second-degree harassment, police said.

Mullen was processed and released on another $10,000 court-set surety bond, police said.

On Nov. 1, the victim in the case reported receiving numerous threatening and harassing phone calls and text messages, police said.
