Southington Police Meet-And-Greet: Officer Paulie Carrubba

SOUTHINGTON, CT — This week's Southington Police Department meet-and-greet featured an officer who's been on the job for nearly two decades.

Officer Paulie Carrubba has been a member of the department for 18 years and is currently assigned to the patrol division.

"Through his conduct, Officer Carrubba has demonstrated a proactive emphasis on motor vehicle enforcement," department officials said. "Officer Carrubba has routinely conducted traffic enforcement throughout town to keep traveling motorists safe."

Carrubba is a trained crisis intervention officer, with a specialized skill set focused on human behavior, deescalation and understanding. He was a co architect in the development of the department’s self defense program. Currently, Carrubba serves as a lead instructor and participates in classes on a weekly basis.

Carrubba is a former member of our the SPD Honor Guard Unit and served on it for 15 years.
