Southington Resident and PZC Members Clash Over Medical Office

Emails were released that show a conflict between members of the commission and a resident who was opposed to a new medical building.

A Southington resident and the chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission had a strong exchange over email that prompted another PZC member to call for an apology.

Resident Bonnie Sica criticized the commission’s decision to approve a medical office proposed by Hartford HealthCare and said that she and her group Community Committee to Save Bradley weren’t informed about the pending vote, according to the Record-Journal.

Commission member Steve Kalkowski fired back an email calling on Sica to apologize. Chairman Michael DelSanto responded by saying minutes and agendas are posted online for all P&Z meetings.
