Valerie Tutson Bring Tales, History to Southington Public Library
The Rhode Island native shares her treasures picked up during her trips around the world at the library Saturday afternoon.
In her travels to Africa and Haiti, Rhode Island native Valerie Tutson experienced folktales and fables firsthand. Now the storyteller is sharing her experiences throughout New England including in Southington, where she put on an hour-long performance Saturday.
"She has an ability to get children and adults to all forget about their troubles and has kids singing along throughout the program," said Jeanne Chiemelewski, publicist at Southington Public Library. "It's a great performance that has drawn the attention of people all ages and we were fortunate to be able to have her."
