Assumption University, Worcester MA

• Victoria Ostrowski, of South Windsor, was one of nearly 400 graduates to receive a bachelor's degree during Assumption University's 105th commencement exercises on Sunday, May 8, at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester.

Columbia University, New York NY

• Lloxci Lopez of South Windsor received three merits this past 2022 spring semester at Columbia University. For the second semester in a row, Lloxci has made the Dean’s List. She was one of five finalists selected for the Jonathan Throne Kopit Memorial Prize, for demonstrating exceptional work in university writing and whose writing and thinking have reached a high level of excellence. She also was selected as a Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar; 120,000 apply each year, out of which 10,000 are selected.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University inducted 34 students into Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), the national honor society for collegiate leadership, on March 6. Among the inductees were two South Windsor residents: Abigail Bourdon, a senior who majors in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, and Aicha Ly, a senior who majors in Political Science. Founded in 1914, ODK is a national leadership honor society that recognizes juniors and seniors who demonstrate remarkable leadership responsibility in campus programs, clubs and extracurricular activities. As of today, more than 235 colleges and universities throughout the country have a chapter of the ODK honor society. To be eligible, students must also have a minimum GPA of 3.77. Established at Eastern in 1994, the local ODK chapter has inducted more than 800 faculty, students and alumni into the society.

Lasell University, Newton MA

• Shannon Anthony, a recent graduate of Lasell University from South Windsor, was inducted into Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology.

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NH

• Seven students from South Windsor were named to the winter 2022 President's List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above are named to the President's List. Honorees from South Windsor were Justin Chabot, Jillian Perra, Cesar Fernandez, Ashley Dupre, Jessica Egloff, Vishnu Srinivasan and Sydney Wrenn.
• Anjali Gupta and Scott Fine, both of South Windsor, were named to the winter 2022 Dean's List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 are named to the Dean's List.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

• Evan Kennedy of South Windsor was among 561 students to process at Stonehill College's 71st commencement on Sunday, May 22, 2022. DeBrenna Agbenyiga, provost and vice president for academic affairs, presided over the ceremony.

University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford CT

• The University of Saint Joseph celebrated two students from South Windsor in the annual Undergraduate Awards Ceremony. Percy Chen earned the Sr. Mary Joseph Mark McGurkin Founders' Award, and Ashlee Fife earned the Sr. Mary Consolata Blake Founders' Award.
• The University of Saint Joseph's Department of Nursing held its Undergraduate Nursing Award and Pinning Ceremony on May 13. The event included a welcome from Chair of the department of Nursing, Janet Knecht, Ph.D., and greetings from USJ President Free, along with a blessing of the hands. Cameron Reyes of South Windsor was among the students honored.
