Internationally Known Artist, Who Has Been Featured on HGTV, Planning and Zoning Member Inducted Into South Windsor High School Hall of Fame
Highlighting this year's induction class: Part IV.
Editor’s Note: The South Windsor High School Hall of Fame recently inducted its third class with its annual dinner ceremony. We will highlight each inductee with profiles (but will break them into parts). The inductees are Jack Longo, Jill Biancucci Kolinsky, Priscilla Collins Snow, Brett Burnham, Cristi Carbone Burnham, Karen Rossi, Dorothy Blozie Morrill, Deborah Dillon-Lightfoot (posthumously) and the State Champion Boys’ Soccer Team of 1979.

Karen Rossi

Rossi is a 1974 graduate of South Windsor High School and internationally known artist. She received a B.A. Degree from Southern Connecticut State University and has studied at Penland School of Crafts, University of Massachusetts and Parsons School of Design. She has been a featured artist on HGTV “That’s Clever” and “QVC.”
Keynote Speaker at various domestic and international conferences, universities, organizations and associations. Some of her commissions and collections include “Believe” – Community Health Resources (Enfield, Connecticut), “Wreath Art Installation” – Boston Children’s Hospital (Boston, Massachusetts), “My Friends Place” – Boundless Playgrounds (South Windsor), “Better Beginnings” – Saint Francis Hospital (Hartford, Connecticut), “South Windsor Library” – “Angels of Culture” (South Windsor, Connecticut), “Garden Arch” – Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro” (New Haven, Connecticut), “Evergreen Walk – The Gabriels II” (South Windsor, Connecticut), “Mark Twain House Ornament – The White House” (Washington, D.C.) “Chef” – Collection of Rocky H. Aoki (Benihana, Japan), “ISG Mobile Installations – Booz, Allen and Hamilton” (Dallas, Texas/ NY, NY/ London, England). She has had solo exhibitions throughout the United States and internationally including “Angels and Faeries” Holiday Window Exhibition – Bergdorf Goodman (NY, NY). She has taught at workshops, art and craft centers and served as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Connecticut State College. She was an “Artist in Residence” at St. Francis Hospital and Artpark (NY). She has contributed to numerous community projects including Channel 3 Kids Camp, YWCA, Connecticut Human Society and Community Health Network of Connecticut.

Karen has been recognized by the New Orleans City Council for Contribution to the Artist’s Foundation Collection, received the “Remarkable Woman in Business Award” from the Hartford Business Journal and the “Nova Award” for Best Overall New Product for 2002 – Canadian Gift and Tableware Association.
Priscilla Collins Snow
Snow is a 1949 graduate of Ellsworth Memorial High School in South Windsor where she was a member of the Honor Society, played Girls’ Basketball, served as Cheerleading Co-Captain, participated in Chorus and Theater productions and was a member of the Honor Society.
Member of The University of Connecticut Class of 1953. Member of the South Windsor Planning and Zoning Commission (13 years). Member of the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Board of Directors over 20 years and the Executive Board. Past President of the Ambassadors Club. Served on the Wapping Community Church Council and as Church Clerk (10 years). Chairman of Guys and Dolls, Member of the South Windsor Square Dance Club (10 years), Chairman (2 years). Employed as President/CEO of Post Road Stages, Inc/ Collins Bus Service, Inc. Member of Connecticut, New England and American Bus Associations.
