Ion Bank Opens New Branch In South Windsor

The Naugatuck-based bank opened its 20th branch, but just the third in Hartford County.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Naugatuck-based bank has opened its 20th branch at the site of the former Prudential office at 1751 Ellington Road, on the Stop & Shop Plaza grounds.

The newest office of Ion Bank, founded in Naugatuck in 1870, features Personal Teller Machine (PTM) technology with extended hours. In addition to its lobby hours, the PTM with an Interactive Teller is available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The PTM technology gives customers the ability to interact with a live teller through two-way video. Bank customers may conduct typical transactions through the Personal Teller Machine, including making deposits and payments, transferring money, cashing checks and more.

The new South Windsor branch is staffed with consultative Personal Bankers who can serve customers’ needs with everything from a new checking account or mortgage to a business loan and a Commercial Lending team. Additionally, wealth management services are available through Ion Investments.
