[Updated] Police: Man Stole Chicken Wings
South Windsor police charged Juan Flores of East Hartford for the alleged theft of frozen meat products, including chicken wings.

An East Hartford man was arrested by South Windsor police on Saturday for some alleged fowl play in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars of frozen food products including chicken wings from a local meat distribution business.
Juan Flores, 48, of East Hartford, was charged with larceny in the third degree and was later released on a $1,000 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on July 26.
According to South Windsor police, Flores’ charge stems from a February 2012 larceny investigation at , a local meat distribution business on Route 5.

Police say that the business owner reported that he had lost about $3,000 of products from the warehouse.
South Windsor police Sgt. Scott Custer said that, after reviewing the security footage, police found that Flores, a former employee of Waybest, on three separate occasions removed boxes of chicken wings from the warehouse without authorization.

Custer said that Flores had given the stolen meat to acquaintances. Custer said that the investigation is continuing with regard to others connected with the incident.
