South Windsor Girls' Basketball Comes Through in Clutch Against Greenwich
Bobcats hold on for quarterfinal victory, advance to Class LL semifinals.

On the strength of some clutch free-throw shooting in the final seconds, the top-seeded South Windsor girls’ basketball team is heading to the Class LL semifinals and eyeing a return trip to Mohegan Sun for the title game.
The Bobcats (26-1) advanced to a semifinal showdown with No. 4 NFA following a thrilling 69-66 victory over eighth-seeded Greenwich in the quarterfinals on Tuesday night.
South Windsor hit six free throws in the final 30 seconds to hold off Greenwich and move within one win of going back to the state championship game. The Bobcats lost to Lauralton Hall in last year’s title game.
