South Windsor High Sports Tournament Schedule

The following is the schedule - as of Thursday at 1:15 p.m. - for the South Windsor fall sports teams that have qualified for their respective state tournaments. The schedule is subject to change based on, among other things, weather-related postponements.

Boys Soccer

The South Windsor boys soccer team finished the regular season with a 13-2-1 record, which earned it the No. 6 seed in the state Class LL tournament. The Bobcats are scheduled to face No. 27 Guilford (6-5-5) Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. at Eastern Connecticut State Univeristy.

Girls Soccer

South Windsor went 14-2 this season, good enough for the No. 3 seed and a first-round bye in the state Class LL tournament. The Bobcats’ first game will come at home in the second round on Nov. 12, when they will face the winner of the No. 14 Hall/No. 19 New Canaan match. The Bobcats have high hopes entering the tournament, with both of their losses coming at the hands of No. 1 seeded Glastonbury (16-0), the defending Class LL champions.

Field Hockey

The field hockey team, the CCC East champions, earned the No. 7 seed in the state Class L tournament with a 12-3 record. The Bobcats are scheduled to face No. 10 Hamden in South Windsor on Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. With victories over Glastonbury, Simsbury and Granby, South Windsor could make a deep run in the tournament.

Girls Volleyball

With a 14-4 record, the Bobcats earned the No. 8 seed in the state Class LL tournament and first-round bye. South Windsor will face No. 9 Greenwich at home on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.

Swimming and Diving

Qualifying for the state Class L meet will take place on Nov. 10 at Cornerstone pool in West Hartford. Fourteen South Windsor girls will take part in the qualifying races that start at 6:15 p.m.
