South Windsor Man Enters Plea In Drug Deal Gone Bad

A South Windsor man who was shot in a February incident has entered a plea in the case.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - A man who was shot in a February incident that police are saying was a drug deal gone bad has pleaded guilty to charges, The Hartford Courant reported.

Tyler Derohanian, 25, entered a guilty plea to two counts of possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana and interfering with police.

This was part of plea deal struck with prosecutors that also requires him to forfeit more than $16,000 to the state. The money was found during a search of Derohanian's mother's home, according to The Courant.

Chad Ransom, 25, of Hartford, who previously accepted a plea bargain, was convicted of first-degree assault for shooting and injuring Derohanian in the incident.

A dispute over the sale of one pound of marijuana led to the shooting at a home at 61 Gorski Drive.
