Earlier in the week, police arrested Bridgette Craig, 48, of 38 Woodlawn Circle, East Hartford, in connection to the case.
Police said Mitchell’s charges stem from an August 2015 investigation in which a local business sold a $650 money order to Craig, who paid with counterfeit currency. Officers later identified Mitchell when he tried to cash the money order, according to police.
