Spelling Bee practice sessions will take place at South Windsor Library on Nov. 14 & 21 as well as Dec. 12 & 19 from 7-8:30pm. Interested children in grades 3-8 may begin registering for these sessions on Friday Nov. 1 at 10am. The District Spelling Bee will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 and only 5th through 8th graders can participate. The winner in January will have to go to New Haven, CT for another bee sometime in February or March of 2014. The winner of the New Haven Bee will go on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May.
