South Windsor Swimmers Experience Success at Class L Championships

NEW HAVEN, CT — For the sixth straight year, the Darien High School girls swimming team captured the Class L state championship Tuesday at the Southern Connecticut State University pool.

The Blue Wave compiled 729.5 points to outdistance runnerup Cheshire, which had 666.5.

South Windsor was paced by Elizabeth Savidge, who was fifth in the 100 backstroke. The 200 medley relay team of Savidge, Christiana Jones, Alanna Mawhinney and Emma Hapkiewicz finished seventh.
