South Windsor WPCA Holding Public Hearing on Proposed Discount Rates

The public hearing is set for Tuesday, July 7.

The South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on the proposed sewer user charge discount rates for qualified income residents for fiscal year 2015-2016 on Tuesday, July 7.

The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at South Windsor Town Hall.

The hearing is regarding South Windsor Water Pollution Control Rules and Regulations, Section 1 (“Definitions”) and Section 16 (“Sewer Use Charges and the Collection Thereof”).

The rule changes would allow sewer charges to be discounted for South Windsor residents who have already qualified for tax breaks based on income status, according to Mayor Dr. Saud Anwar.
